A first album released in 2008 and hailed by critics, a second album produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys … At just 22 years, Jessica Lea Mayfield already has a résumé to envy. And it is confirmed to play the eleven songs on this album: slow folk melodies, swollen by muscular guitar solos, sung with a drawl, reminiscent almost flayed the nonchalance of a Kurt Cobain, without the rage Nirvana grunge. With its air arrangements and melodies winding, Tell Me is an album to listen to the quiet morning or evening calm, like the soundtrack of a harmonious weariness.
Acoustic Joys Elsa Kopf (Anticraft / MVF). If you want to discover Elsa Kopf, do not read her bio! You’ll find a shared life between Paris and Ibiza (ouch), the TV ads for sanitary towels and cheap bridal jewellery (re-ouch), tours, opening for Peter and Nicolas Palmade Canteloup … Not exactly inviting.
